The Hillside PBA Local 70 held a Turkey and Canned Food Drive through the months of October and November for local Hillside Families. Canned food collection bins were placed in the Hillside Municipal Building and in the Hillside Shoprite. Hillside Police Officers donated the turkeys for the Drive. Others from the community also donated turkeys. Several turkeys from the Hillside Fire Department and employees of Shoprite were donated. Donations from the Hillside Shoprite helped to make the Drive a success.

On November 22, 2011 the Hillside Police Department PBA assembled and distrubuted the Turkey Baskets. The families picked up their Turkey Baskets at the Hillside Community Center Building between 5:00pm and 7:00 pm. PBA family members also donated their time to assemble and distribute the baskets.

The Hillside families that recieved the Turkey Baskets were very appreciative of the Hillside Police Department PBA's effort and displayed their appreciation with lots of smiles and Holiday hugs!
